God we thank you and praise you for this day. We thank you for your love, kindness, and understanding God we thank you for the air that we breath and each breathe we take. God we praise you for guidance and protection. We thank you for being an All-Mighty and all knowing God who shows us which way to go each day. We thank you for your Son, Jesus and Holy Spirit that comfort us. God we love you and praise your name. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
God loves me and cares about my well being.

Who Gets into Your World
Bible Reading: Philippians 2:5-11
Christ Jesus . . . took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form. Philippians 2:5, 7
Little Lucas went bananas when his favorite uncle came to visit. Uncle Miguel practically dove through the door to hit the floor and play with Lucas. Uncle Miguel knew how to build towering Lego skyscrapers. He gave superhero action figures even more superpowers. He made cool army-guy noises and car noises and all sorts of other unique noises. And Uncle Miguel never got tired of playing with Lucas.
No matter how grown up you get, you need adults to show interest in your activities and concerns. Your need for attention is met when a caring adult leaves the grown-up world for a period of time and gets into your world.
God intends for us to get that kind of attention showered on us through our families. When we receive that attention, we know that we matter to others-and to God. We feel significant. We feel like we are worth spending time on.
No matter how much love we feel at home, however, we still need to know this fact: Jesus Christ left his world-heaven-and entered our world-sinful earth—to demonstrate that he loves us. While he deserved to be seated way up high on the throne of heaven, he became a human being so he could crawl around on the floor with us. That’s the message of Philippians 2:5-8. God is the One who meets your need for attention.
God is still paying attention to you and your world. Listen to these facts:
• God values you so highly that he sticks with you day by day in the person of the Holy Spirit (see John 14:16).
• God knows every detail about you. He knew you before you were born (see Psalm 139:13-16).
• God knows all about your hassles. He invites you to “give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about what happens to you” (1 Peter 5:7).
• God couldn’t be closer. Moment by moment, he’s right here with you. He’s so close that one of Christ’s names is Immanuel, which means “God with us” (Matthew 1:23, NIV).
As you let these truths flood your mind and heart, you’ll have a new view of you. You’ll begin to see yourself as you really are: a person of great value and worth.
TALK: How has Jesus showered incredible attention on you? What does that say about how much he loves you?
PRAY: Ask God for his help in seeing yourself as he sees you.
ACT: Memorize a verse that reminds you how much you’re worth to God.
